Job Description – Office 365 Administrator

Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving for Office 365, SharePoint, G Suite, and Slack

Drive adoption of messaging and collaboration services across the enterprise

Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes and procedures

Assist in training tier-one support personnel and develop training guides for end-users

Develop automated processes and reports for Office 365.

Deploy and support business tool integrations with Office 365.

Guide users in creating solutions on top of SharePoint, Flow, Teams, Forms, and PowerApps

Anticipate and identify modifications and enhancements to address system problems

Keep up to date on new applications, services, and product changes and make recommendations on how they can be applied to meet business needs.

Provide after-hours escalation support as part of an on-call rotation.

Being an Office 365 Administrator, whether for a company or as a freelancer, is a great responsibility.

You’ll provide Office 365 support to your coworkers, help configure and manage cloud services, and serve as a liaison between Microsoft and the Office 365 user base.

Though it is a rather straightforward process to become an Office 365 Administrator, it can be an overwhelming task keeping all of the material straight, especially if you are new to IT.
